I know this is a month old, but still, I am so glad that you've managed to get medical care. It is important to care for yourself as well following the Doc's instructions. The nicotine in your system will be difficult to work it out of your system, but my late mom had a technique that helped her quit with the least of stress, and she used to smoke heavily, and not soft cigarettes, but Winston 100s. Simply when you get the urge, drink a glass of water till you feel full. This helps in two ways, it will re-hydrate you of course, but also flush the Nicotine out and the smoke craving will subside too. It's an old remedy that literally teaches your body to negate the impulse/craving. The withdrawal as you may already know hits hard on the emotions, but eventually you'll be better with time. You have not just a following that supports you but I'm sure the fam and especially the wife are there for you.
